An allergist and immunologist, Douglas A. Neeld, MD, joined Lutheran Medical Group in January 2008. He is a longtime Fort Wayne physician who practiced at Asthma & Allergy Associates before joining LMG. In addition to seeing patients at the Dupont Medical Park office, Dr. Neeld also sees patients at 7916 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Fort Wayne (260.432.2297) and at 2235 DuBois Drive, Suite B, in Warsaw (574.269.3299).

Dr. Neeld earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology from Indiana University in Bloomington and a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill., and a fellowship in allergy/immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

A devoted educator, Dr. Neeld teaches classes at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Fort Wayne Center for Medical Education, and the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. In 1991, he was named first runner up for outstanding clinical professor at the medical school, and he has been elected to "Best Doctors in America" by his peers.

Dr. Neeld, who is board certified in internal medicine, allergy and immunology, is a fellow in both the American College and Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and he is a member of the Indiana Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society; the Fort Wayne Medical Society; and the Indiana State Medical Association.
