Dr. Jakacki loves football and is a big Indianapolis Colts fan. He's also an avid gardener and appreciates the good results from eating organic, natural foods. With his family, he grows his own cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, onion, broccoli, brussel sprouts, radishes, green beans, squash and more. Dr. Jakacki is a man of faith and is active with his church.
A native of Detroit, Mich., Dr. Jakacki became a member of Lutheran Medical Group in August 2010 when his former group, Brooklyn Medical Associates joined LMG. A family practice physician, Dr. Jakacki joined BMA in 2001. Prior to that, he worked as an emergency room physician at Lutheran Hospital, and as a full-time chiropractor in private practice.
Dr. Jakacki graduated from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich., in 1980 and from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1982. He received a doctor of chiropractic medicine degree from The National College of Chiropractic, now known as National University of Health Sciences, in Lombard, Ill., in 1988. He earned a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1998, and he completed a family practice residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 2001.
Dr. Jakacki is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the Christian Medical Dental Society, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
