Pradeesh M. George, DO
Pradeesh M. George, DO, joined the surgical team at Lutheran Medical Group in April 2015. Prior to joining LMG, he was a staff trauma surgeon at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, Ohio. He was also the assistant medical director of the Moraine Fire Department in Moraine, Ohio, and a clinical instructor of surgery at the Ohio University-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens.
Dr. George graduated from Los Banos High School in Los Banos, Calif., in 1997. While pursuing his undergraduate studies at California State University-Sacremento, he served as a combat medic in the South Carolina and California National Guard in the 132nd Engineer/118th Mechanized Infantry battalions. During this time, he also taught basic and gross anatomy classes as a teaching assistant at the university. Dr. George earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from CSU-Sacramento in 2003, and he earned a medical degree from Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007.
Dr. George completed an emphasis in general surgery internship in 2008 and a general surgery residency in 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He served as chief resident of the general surgery residency at the same medical center before completing a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 2013. Dr. George is currently a trauma surgeon with the 629th Forward Surgical Team/U.S. Army Reserves, which is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. George is board certified in general surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgical Critical Care. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the Society for Critical Care Medicine. He has special interests in caring for patients with complex hernias and multiple rib fractures and robotic surgery.
